I haven't gotten any yet since I want to make up a list or two before I commit to that much pewter. I have the Codex though.

Another Question regarding the Seraphim, the modified list you recommended, that was 5 with two dual flamers? Furthermore, adding the 6th (from the extra Imm - Rhino), my worry is, is that going to be enough of them?

You never have enough Seraphim, but it's a good start. Also, keep in mind that you have Celestine to tank wounds. You could always shuffle points to get a couple more seras.

Isn't the firepoint the top hatch? And don't you risk flaming your own Rhino that way?
I am always in the market for weird and wonderful GW oddbitz and ephemera. PM me if you have something old/weird/rare.

Yeah the top hatch at the back. The rectangle thing. Also, they FAQ'd it saying you don't hit the Rhino. Something about "The unit arcing it in a way to not hit" or something.

Yes, the top hatch that opens up in the back. And no, vehicles have a specific exception for template weapons. It's in the main rulebook now.

Agh, ninja'd.

The Sera Act of Faith, that includes Celest's shooting then too? Just says "If successful, all weapons in the Seraphim unit [...]".

Yes! So one heavy flamer and four hand flamers plus 2 bolt pistols per remaining chick all get shred. :)

Also, keep in mind that they can 'hide in close combat' with Hit & Run at Initiative 7.

Yeah, flame the crap out of someone. Charge. Lock up for a turn. Run away at the end of their turn. Rinse and repeat.

Seraphim/Celestine are pretty awesome.

Plus, people often underestimate them. Especially when a LRR is coming at them filled with terminators. :)

That was what I was thinking. LRR is pretty threatening, especially filled with Combat Face-Smashers. The Hit and Run/flamer combo is actually pretty sneaky yet pleasing :D

This thread has been very exciting.

I think it will work out! I will tweak a final list and plop it by you all for one last gander then I am going to try it out on Vassal.

Oh, one last thing, the Bastion, with 4 HB Sisters and one on the Quad, how does the mounted HB work exactly? Say I had 2 more sisters running around, so they get to choose what gun they want to mount? Can it be safe to say the mounted HB are only 45 degree frontal cones?

Yeah, so the way it works.

2 purchased HB per firepoint. Depending on how the bastion is constructed, you should always have at least 2 Fire points pointed in any given direction.
1 HB per side. Each of these has about a 45 degree traverse if you don't glue it. You generally can't get more than 1 on a target.
QuadGun. 360 degree traverse. You can generally see everything with this unless they are right on the bastion.

Very nice. I found the section in the rulebook that explains them. The emplaced weapons (the HB), they can fire on their own to the closest unit at BS2, so what if I went 6 Ret (4 HB, 1 Quad, 1 mounted HB on whatever side they are shooting on). Since 7 would be a single Sister on a different gun would it not?
