I am relatively new to miniature wargaming. I got into the painting/modeling aspect about 6 months ago. I recently played my first couple of games (40k) and had a great time.

I stumbled across this site while looking for used Ork 40k minis so I thought I would give a try at bartering/purchasing from the post from this forum...just as my name states, I NeedMoarDakka.

Hello Bartertown! My name is Charles, and I play a few miniatures games, primarily Heroclix. I am interested, however, in the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game, and I heard this was a great community for working on trades and purchases!

I'm new, I enjoy 40k and forums. Seemed like a good idea to merge these two delicious hobbies together here, in Bartertown! Well let me explain a little about myself, firstly oh my do I love 40k. The fluff, the game, the roleplaying game, everything. I have been collecting a pair of armies for a few years now, though I don't play as much as I'd like.

My first army I started to assemble was Space Marines, Ultramarines. Though this was before I knew the internet hated them, I just liked them. I liked the idea of them versus the Tyranids, I pictured them as Space Knights fighting Dragons, the tyranids being the dragons obviously. I wanted Marneus Calgar who looked awesome I thought with those big giant fists and his rad cape. It was joyous.

At the time I was playing 5th edition rules, though I really did not play. You see where I lived at the time had very little gamers around me to actually join in the fun with. That didn't exactly thwart me though, I still enjoyed collecting them and painting them, even writing my own little Chapter stories. It kept me interested even if my plastic and pewter men were only collecting dust.

Suddenly though I met my lady friend, she found the Warhammer 40k interesting as well, perhaps it was just the niche aspect of the hobby she found sort of cute or maybe the novelty of it was clever. Either way it was fun explaining some of the game to her, and eventually she wanted to play the game. Foolish me, perhaps a little sexist on my part tried to sell her on the idea of Sisters of Battle. Not that she did not like the Sororitas, it was just not as exciting to her.

Then they came....Hordes of Genestealers and Termagaunts. They were painted pink and white with blood dripping down their faces. It was both terrifying and hilarious at the same time. She found what she liked and to my surprise it was the enemy my Ultramarines had been waiting for. To be fair, they might of been a little more feminine than say Hive Fleet Behemoth. None the less! There were dragons to SLAY! MARCH FOR MACRAGGE!......Really? Are those hello Kitty decals?...fine whatever.

We fought a few epic battles and we traded wins here and there. She doesn't like to lose and neither do I so the outcomes were quite funny sometimes.

THE DaEMONS! Yes! They suck right? That's what I always heard and never seen anyone play them. Well whatever I like the way the Khorne Bloodletters look, I thought i'd buy some. I did tons of them, I still have not painted all of them. I also bought some imperial guard stuff I was going to make a Khorne Daemons/IG army of war! But lost interest in the IG stuff and it's part of the reason why my journey has brought me here.

So I spent a good chunk change on different imperial guard models, most of which I have sold off to ebay by now. But I heard about this place from a Fritz 40k video. I thought, hey hmm...Well I have been interested in assembling some Terminators and trying to put together a 1500pt army that can fit in a small box I can carry in a backpack.

Moral of the story I have some things to trade and need a place to trade them, At least before I go back to ebay and get rid of my stuff that way.

Hello everyone. My name is Qui. I live in Southern California. I have been playing tabletop/TCG/LCG over the years. I am coming back into playing Warmachine since a few of my friends are starting to play again. I am looking to build a Khador army and have started purchasing and building them already. Just time and effort is less now then my college days. I was just looking at another outlet to purchase this army. I've had a few armies from 40k, fantasy, and still have my Prime Cryx army.

For 40k I used to have a Imp guard/Inquisition army.
Fantasy: I used to have Lizardmen.
Bloodbowl: Goblin team
Cryx: about 25 pts in MKII
