6th ed assualt question

Post by Gaijin18 »

OK ,yeah I know its been out awhile, but I have not gotten many games in.

As alot of 6th ed 40k has been taken from fantasy I am wondering.

Random charge range,,,ok you declare a charge,,,get shot at,roll to see how far you can charge,,,,what happens if you fail a charge,is it like fantasy where you get stuck how ever far you go or do you just sit there twiddling your thumbs? I have read the mini rule book looking for answers but have not come across anything,

It's not like WHFB, you don't move at all.

This also counts if you were in charge range but then loose some models due to overwatch, and if the remaining are no longer in charge range the assault fails ( overwatch should be rolled before your assault charge is rolled)
Positive feedback I have left for but have not received any in return: Stephen, oldgamer56

Yes you can, most people don't allow it or "like" it as people seem to think they are over powered (which in some cases can be the case, bringing a Reaver Titan to a friendly game is not cool). You can usually find the rules of each unit in the many books available on Forgeworld here: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-4 ... mour_Books

Although depending on the specific units you are referring to I could not point out any specific book as I have only read the apocalypse ones.

Also, in the imperial armour apocalypse second edition, and all forgeworld books after, they have been putting a Warhammer 40K stamp on units that are approved for use in regular games of 40K. These "40K approved" units are the ones that people were refeering too on Dakka I think. This will prevent someone from bringing a reaver to a friendly game as mentioned above, as the titans and super heavies have the Apocalypse only stamp
