Change how links are handled?

Post by mardaddy601 »

Links. Is there a way we can get Btown to pop open another tab to see links? Everywhere else I usually go on the net, this is the case, but in Btown, it changes the page and I have to go back. It can get annoying when someone is posting picture or reference links and you are trying to verify the count or condition of what is listed with the pictures (back and forth.)

I know we can right click and *choose* to open a new tab, and that is what I have been doing forever - but only here. Opening a new tab is just about automatic everywhere else on the net & habits die hard... why is the Btown site an exception in this regard?

Lower rating ships or pays 1st, myself included. Used to be more flexible; but was burned in recent months by a few newbies. If 200+ feedback w/no negs and 10+ years member is not enough to be trusted, well, like I said - none of this is VITAL.

That's going to be something inherent with the phpbb system.
I'm not sure if it's something we can change or not, though. I don't deal with programming.
I'm sure Plarz or Lin will be able to shed some light.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

It's changeable, but it'd be like changing the carpet of your car. Have to take out the seats, rip out the dash & console, rip up the carpet, and replace it and then put everything back again. Do-able, but a ton of work, for little gain.

Or, you can just buy rugs.

Hmm. "Right click, open in new tab/window" doesn't seem all THAT bad. LOL
I've got my security settings locked down, anyway. New tabs & windows will ONLY open for me if I do that, anyway. So, no loss to me. Sorry, Mardaddy.

Absolutely true. Doesn't cost you anything to ask. :)
