Okay so I have two deals that like the title says are bad and the other incomplete. The first one has sent me mostly everything that I agreed to pay for except for two Imperial guard setinels that he said he forgot to include when he gave me the confirmation #. I contacted him about after nearly a month of waiting where he then appologized saying he forgot and they were wrapped up in next to his door and said he would include other things to make up for it. Lalala another long time of waiting, so I try to contact him again and after another week of waiting for a response...nothing. So I don't know if I should just leave him a bad btr/reference or what. This doesn't make me as concerned about my newest transaction though.
So my recent transaction was my new in box grey knights army worth a couple hundred for magic the gathering rare and uncommon cards that are supposed to be worth a damn. I sent out my stuff first because we agreed that we'll follow the lower rating thing first even though he was only a little above me and I did check his references at the time which were in good standings. before anything was sent though he said the army was more for his brother now so his brother was also going to donate his cards to me double the size of cards I was going to receive even though they may not be quality cards. So I did receive a package containing many bad common cards a few okay uncommons and a few okay older rares. I was super let down hoping these were the cards that his brother donated because in total the cards that are actually usuable only adds up to roughly 40 if even. I sent him an email inquiring quite politely if there was another package that should be arriving and if that this one was his brothers donated half which he did read but never sent a response back. So I sent him another email but not as polite but still no cursing or yelling or anything.....and a week has passed and he hasn't read it yet. I checked his feedback and another person gave him a bad feedback and from what it seems like 3 weeks later somewhat rectified the deal. I don't know what to do for this one since I'm still stuck with these mediocre cards worth nearly nothing which I still kept in the box they came in because of the situation and I have a hefty amount of money worth of models in his possession. Plz help!

1st.
File a bad trader report on the guy who owes you the minis.
Send him an email and/or pm telling him that he's commiting mail fraud, which is a felony, and will file with the USPS postal inspectors if you don't receive the d/c within 3 business days and the models with 5-6.
Then do it if he doesn't. Mail fraud is a felony. Thats FEDERAL prison, not the local or state jail.
Then eave a neg ref.
2nd trade.
Did the other trader give you a list of cards or just say 'good' cards?
If the former, were they sent? In the conditioned promised?
If not, you need to learn to ask for a list of EVERYTHING on EVERY trade.
You can ask that each of you sends the stuff back and accept the loss on shipping.
Hope he says yes.
If not, you've just had a learning experience.
Filing a bad trader report won't do much, since the word 'good' is subjective.
You can leave neg or at least neutral feedback with an explantion. [send the neg ref as a question to 1 of the mods.]

Re: bad and incomplete deal help needed
okay I don't exactly know if this would help and if you know magic the gathering or not but he did mention a few certain cards which would be included such as planeswalkers and guaranteed 4 revised dual lands of my choice but hasn't included nor asked me which dual lands. The dual lands were definitely the main thing though. I still have all the pm's from both traders if it would help anyone figure out my problems more definitively. As for leaving more pms, I don't know if that would help me any further since they both just seem to have dissapeared and not reading them anymore. Also thank you all who have helped or is currently helping.

I've read through kt's post and your response. Some of this is duplicate info, but I just want to say it so you understand that kt's advice was solid and that I'm supporting it.cal483647 wrote:Okay so I have two deals that like the title says are bad and the other incomplete. File your BTR. It's been too long.
There may be things behind the scenes that you're unfamiliar with. We've had a few bannings and suspensions lately for this or that. It may be that your guy is one of those. If someone "in the know" sees your post & knows the guy's no longer on the site, we'll tell you.
Also, after you post your PM's (HOPEFULLY IN THE ORDER THAT THEY WERE SENT/RECEIVED), we can maybe help you find a phone number and give you his email address. Even if he's not coming on BTown, he may be coming online. You know?
We won't do both, however, without a valid BTR.
Also, no disrespect intended, you waited too long. Anyone reading this shuld make a mental note. If someone owes you something and has stopped communicating, give 'em no more than 2 weeks. If they're staying in contact, but talking in circles and not sending, don't give 'em more than a month.

I'm a bit unsure. You did or did not get a list of what specific cards you would be receiving? His brother's cards are inconsequential. Those were "throw in's," so don't affect the trade, really. The ones HE said he was sending are what matters. Did he give a specific list of what cards he was sending or what? If not, what DID he say?
In the future, always spell out EXACTLY what is being sent & received in a trade. Eliminating the surprise can do WONDERS for a trade.
So, in parting, file a BTR for the first guy and PM me the User ID on the M:tG card guy. If I know anything about him, I'll see what I can do.
Eric
Lower rating? You ship first.
