Premade Bike Bases: who sells them?

Post by ancientsociety »

I'm looking to find an online retailer (hopefully accepting Paypal) who makes some 40K bike bases (essentially a cavalry base with rounded edges, sort of like a capsule shape).

I need 10 for my Ork Warbikerz, preferably in an Ash Waste/Ruins scheme.
Trading Guidelines:
1. Lower rating ships first - even if I am purchasing.
2. If you agree to buy something, you have 72hrs. in which to pay. If payment is not received in 72hrs., I will automatically post a Non-Payment/Backout thread.
3. Refs are left upon positive receipt of goods, NEVER beforehand!
4. I accept Paypal & USPS money orders and charge for shipping AT COST. I make no profit from it.
5. I trade NIB/new models at retail.

Micro Art Studio has a couple types:

No "Ash Waste" styles, but one is ruins.

Here's a link to their website:

And a link to the "Ruins" bike bases -unpainted- at their web site, for price comparison:

I'm certain there are others, but i don't know them.

Eric

--Edit-- Comparing the site to the Ebay sale, it looks as if the prepainted ones on ebay are cheaper than the unpainted ones on their site.
Lower rating? You ship first.

Give me a sense of humor Lord. Give me the grace to see a joke.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Want my help with a BTR or backout? All messages sent/posted should be in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Otherwise, I just won't read it.

I just never understood the aversion to just using good old fashioned cavalry bases. Heck, that's the bases they come with aren't they?

Maybe it's just me........

Well I think I understand the reason. Every base in 40k is rounded. So why are the bike bases square? Being frugal I just use the square ones.

They might be rounded, but it doesn't state anywhere that they HAVE to be rounded. Heck half my demon army is on the square bases so I can still go back and forth between 40K and Warhammer.

Everything "big" back in the day in 40K was on a square base. Dreadnaughts, Tyranids, Jugernaughts, etc.........

Guess I'm just frugal too........ :-D

I'll still continue to use the bases they give me. 8)

New 5th edition rulebook says you use the base that is supplied with the model. So if you get cavalry bases with your bikers, then that is the base you use. Although I do like how GW has this article on basing bikes.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.
