Two New Desert Wasteland Sets added at Dragon Forge

Post by dragonforge »

Today I added two new Desert Wasteland sets to the Dragon Forge Store.

I added a much requested second 40mm Base set which is less rocky than the first giving more space to mount figures on and The new Narrow Bike Base set.

They can be found in The Dragon Forge Store. http://dragonforge.com

RBDW-004 40mm Desert Wasteland Bases Set Number Two 5 for $7.50
RBDW-018 25mm x 70mm Desert Wasteland Narrow Bike Bases Set One 5 for $10.00

Thanks,
Jeff Wilhelm

Dammit, now, Jeff.
That's the problem I have with you.

You keep making all these cool bases that I want, but don't have a use for.

"No problem," I think. "I'll just use those on the next army I start."
"Hmm. I guess I can use those on the army I do second."
"Well, I guess I could get a third army, so I can use these bases."

You're killing me!!!!

: )

LOVE the new bike bases. I'll definitely pick them up when I expand my Nob bikers.

The biggest problem I have with bike/cavalry bases is that those minis tend to be taller than gropos, so if bumped on the side, they fall over. Not a really big deal, unless you have fragile resin Death Riders, like me, or you have a heavy metal rider on a lightweight plastic mount - also like me. If the oblong bases were j-u-u-u-s-t a tad wider, it would help that tipping issue, without making the base-to-base ranging a gimme for your opponent. Otherwise, I just use 40mm rounds for my 40k bikes/cavalry to avoid knocking them over. I'm a clumsy old man.

We got just a bit too far out there a bit too fast.
Yes. I said, "we."

Back on topic.

The good news, Shiro, is that Jeff makes bigger bike bases, too.
You can put your models on a more bike-like base.

Personally, though, I've never had a problem with bike bases turning over... and I painted up and based a FW Biker Warboss for a buddy who wanted the model on a standard (but elongated, obviously) bike base.
