Alrighty – here’s the backout for gray1378. All the details should be clear. To quickly summarize, he agreed to buy a bunch of 40k Dark Angel bikers by paying with money order. I didn't receive a money order, and when I notified him that I hadn't received it, he informed me that he was backing out of the deal.

well, first there are shipping costs - 6 sets of those bikes shipped is going to be $16, bringing your total to $175
second, we can do things two ways:
1) you can pay me by personal check, which is fine but i would have to wait for the check to clear (4-5 days) before shipping
2) you can pay me by money order, which means that i can ship within a day or so of getting the money order
the other option is that you get a paypal account, but it sounds like that's something you're not interested in... although it's not that hard. it does take a few days to set up, but basically it links to your checking account, and withdraws money from it the same way a check would. you can also get a paypal credit card, but that's a whole other story entirely.

Lol you gave me a bad rep because I had personal family *edit* that came up!!!!??? Wow give me a break.

The only reason I backed out of this deal is due to a family member dying and I had to buy me and my whole family tickets from Cali to New York. Wasn't cheap. This should not have reflected negative on me.

It is understandable that you made that choice. I am sure that almost all of us would have done the same.
Please, understand, however, that we do have site rules and, while it is not a rule violation to back out of an agreed upon trade, it *IS* a rule that, should you do so, the affected party can post one of these reports and an associated reference.

I'm sorry that you had to go through that and, like I said, many of us -myself included- would have made the same decision. Unfortunately, this is just one of those things to deal with.

Please know that this does not mean you have to stop trading here or that you will not find anyone willing to trade with you in the future. Just explain the circumstances, point them towards this thread, and handle trades the same way you would have prior to this. You'll find your references in the positive in no time.
Just be upfront about it, and address it from the get-go with any potential trade partners.
