Wvierira422 contacted me about a trade post I had put up asking for an army swap. He was very gung-ho and communicative about a trade and I was happy to do a trade for what he had. He sent me pictures via private email and contacted me further about additional models he was planning on including in the trade. After seeing the pics he sent I agreed to a trade. He responded by telling me he'd have to take some time to gather them all up and explained how he planned on shipping the models and that he'd send me a Delivery Confirmation number. I confirmed that everything sounded kosher.

I went out and bought a box to ship my models in and started packing them up. I also started bidding on some additional models on Ebay to help round out the army. Later that night he tells me that he can't go through with the trade. This isn't the first backout to happen to me on here, but its biggest and therefore, the first one I'm reporting.

Oh wanted to ask you if u would want this also with the lot. I purchaced six really oop 1980's Dark elf cold ones knights for the old school coldones. I was going to convert some of the extra (I have about 10 more) of my oop saurus warriors into coldone riders to mount on them. They would have looked really cool if I had done the conversion but just got them in I'll take a pic of those too for you. Also some clarification to what I sent earlier. The 12 skinks from the battalion were built into 10 blowpipe skirmishers as that's how many blowpipes the give. And the 2 extra were converted into a skink brave and standard for a skink unit. The other 24 I have that I listed as with jav and shield are not yet assembled and box isn't opened yet though the idea was to have 2 of them made into blowpipe skinks then the rest made into jav and shield with one converted as a musician. However I'm not going to assemble them for now pending our trade. Also I have all sprues for battalion set and stegadon too. Sorry for the long message...lol.

Lol really old cold ones like really really old. Expensive to get ahold of too not many to be found. I just sent u pick of some of my stuff I'll send u a pick of those too

I had responded to one of his emails telling him that he had left the attached pictures off. No other correspondence happened via private email and I did not call him.

in the 2nd set that you didn't get first time there was 10 of them. Give me till friday to gather together all the items still have to dig up my terradons, Skink priest with steg helm. and the rest of my oop lizardmen shields which are packed away somewhere. i'll try resending the pic of the old skewl cold ones but i'll throw them in for you just in case you want to follow through on the conversion. I usually mail flat rate priority and would hope you would do the same. i assume standard btown lowest ships first. i'll let you know when i have everything set to go and also when i mail i'll give you the DC#.

i have very unfortunate news. my wife has informed me that she does not wish for me to sell the lizardmen as she enjoys playing them and she says i swap army's too much. so unfortunately to keep peace between her and i, i must appologize that i'll have to withdraw the trade. hope you find a good trade somewhere! Thanks for working with me and again so sorry for having to pull out.

You do realize that we agreed to a trade and that pulling out can be extremely detrimental if you wish to continue trading on Bartertown?

Yes I do realise that you could post a detrimental note about me on here that I pulled out of a deal I was ready to make but it's between getting one negative response on here after 22 very good referals vs putting up with my wife who I live with who puts up with my gaming and allows me to spend money on this hobby so I have models to trade. And if you feel inclined to post that I pulled out of a trade before any models were sent I doubt that whould hold so detrimental to me that noone would want to ply trade with me. It would also be extremely rude of you to do so as I graciously appologise for this misshap.

But even if it is, I would of let this go if I were you, sometimes my dad told me to stick with my Tau for 40 something, because they got a good buff on 6th edition. Anyway, just wanted to post my opinion, I'll leave it to you, wvieira422, and the admins.

Whatever his reason, he agreed then backed out. The fact that addresses weren't exchanged isn't a factor here. They had agreed to the trade and on who would ship first. That's all that's necessary.

I once again feal totally bad about having to pull out of this trade so last min. Had I had the option to go through with this I would have. Lets inform people of my sittuation.

1. I want high elves but cannot affor them.
2. I saw a nice trade I could do and not feal bad about it.
3. I was packing said trade when wife entered and told me I'm not trading that army.
4. My wife controls my spending money for this hobby.
5. If I want to enjoy my life I listen to my wife, as any married person would tell you.
6. I tried to work out a deal with her so I could Not have to backout of the trade. It cause an argument between us.
7. I appologized about having to back out as nicely as I could, and still feel horrible about it.
8. I understand that I got the individuals hope up and let him down. Again I'm sorry.
9. If it makes u feel better my hopes were dashed too!
10. I can live with a bad trade report. Won't kill me, can't say the same about my wife.lol expecially when it comes to my hobby.!

Parcival I appologized as nicely as I could I wish you could have been more understanding about my sittuation but your probably not married. Someday you'll know what's it's like to have to give a little to get a little. In this I gave up a wonderful high elf army. And another good report. Oh well I got my wife and children and my games thanks for workin with me and sorry how this had to turn out.

As for btown, thank you to those who can acknowledge my sittuation in this. I am in the wrong for agreeing and backing out. But as the sayings in buisness go "you lose some you win some" and "a deal isn't final, till the deals final" I can't count how manytimes those have proven true when I worked buisness.
