Howdy,
Lets see 26 metal shoulder pads, usually retail for .82 - .90 at GW. I dont mind giving a discount but $5 will barely cover shipping and paypal

at .82 each they would go for $21.32

How does $15 shipped for them sound. I also have a picked over Ravenwing sprue them might have some extra items as well.

I think we have a failure to communicate.

I could do $15 for the 26 DA shoulder pads
If you are offering $15 for $90 worth of landspeeders I would have to say no to that.
Also $5 for a dread is extraordinarily low even for a AoBR one so we wont worry about that either.

As you dont seem to want to make a offer I will.

I can do the following

The three landspeeders as shown in the photos [~50% off retail]
(let me know if you have any questions on them regarding condition etc)
26 Metal Dark Angel Shoulder pads [~25%]
Rest of the items that are on the old picked over ravenwing sprue I have [free]

How does $65 shipped within the US sound. [15 for each of the 3 speeders 15 for the pads and 5 for S&h] They will go out with delivery confirmation and more than likely priority or parcel shipping from USPS. I will also include a couple of small extra flying stands/bases for the speeders.

Well im am tossing in the ravenwing sprue remnants and the flying stands a bonus. The other guy wanted to do just the speeders but I am trying to move larger chunks at once to save on shipping and handling times.

Do you have any of your nids left? I am interested in some of them. I prime my guys with bleach bone and dip them, so I am most interested in unpainted items that you may have, which looks like 3 warriors. The following items from your list interested me. let me know if you have pics of them.

5 poorly painted assembled plastic warriors with various weapons (do you have a pic of these?)
4-5 Primed black assembled warriors with RC and talons (do you have a pic of these?)
3 Unprimed Warriors with magnetized arms for diversity (do you have a pic of these?)

how about the 2 carnies? they are assembled but not primed.
1 isnt attached to its legs yet so. All sprues they came with are included including extra wepons and heads, etc...
they both are ST and TL devs that have been converted with 3 barrels so they can be fielded as 2 TL Devs elite fexes or ST TL Dev fex, Both are good elite choice although they break apart easily and the barbed strangler ST combo is quite effective right now. for only 113 points.

ive got about 15 or more hormies that are primed silver with a pink carapace paintjob. lol easily strippable though as well as 10-12 more that are painted bleached bone and black carapace with full biomorphs including 1 with acid blood from 3rd edition
Ill sell those cheap most liekyl or trade.
Ive got 8 macragge Termies
Ive got at least 10 spine gaunts that are just primed black or white probably more liek 20 of em.

Of the following list, I have put your items in the order that I am most interested in. For items that are painted/assembled I would need to see pics first. Like I mentioned I prime my guys bleach bone then dip them so I cant use models with heavy layers of paint already. I will take a look at the pics you send and see if there is any of them that could offset the purchase price of the speeders.

The warriors are built with magnetized arms everytngis done with superglue for easy removal of parts. ALL WEAPONS ARE INCLUDED.
the termies are good to go just assembled
I can strip the hormies that are pink for you if you want toher wise the 12 i have that are black and white are gfood as well.

So basically what would you offer for that so far

Im willing to go into the warriors if necessary.
The Primed ones are either ST RC and or ST Deathspitter. Id rather keep these.

The painted warrios ill sell,
1 is MC scything talons and RCs
3 STs and DeathSpitters
1 VC and ST all painted Bleached bone and the red, with black highlights. Not sure if Id want tos ell these either although the magnetized arms are good for sell.

Make me an offer I really want those speeders and any new tyrant guard models

I was of course referring to the termigaunts, that you mentioned in your post on Tuesday December 22nd at 11:57am "Ive got 8 macragge Termies" As the Macragge box set did not come with Space Marine Terminators I assumed that when you said "termies" you meant termagaunts. You never mentioned any terminators so I would have no idea that you even had those, nor have I seen anything else on your haves list besides the tyranids.

Let me know if either of those trades mentioned in my last pm work for you. and let me know if you are gonna use them as crimson fists or as I assume dark angels.

I was merely confirming your offer at 2:44, not renogiating. You said that you would go at 50% on those items at 10:07am. If you would prefer to sell those items on ebay that would be fine, it would save me the hassle of trying to sell/trade myself. (as I dont have/want space wolves, merely use them for trade fodder which means I need to pay to ship them again later)

If thats your plan let me know, no gurantees the speeders will still be up for sale when they do sell though.

So my final offer is a repeat of the one I made at 3:11 today, please make sure the items you have are the ones in the links and not old oop models. I would prefer cash but we cant come to an agreement on that so this trade is the best I can do, I have already swapped the termies for the canis model as requested to bring the deal inline.

c) $17 plus 3 unpainted complete plastic pairs of thunder hammer and storm shields and 2 complete unpainted pairs of lightning claws from your nib assault termies

Upon receipt I send the following shipped within the US

The three landspeeders (as shown in the prior photos with some minor wear)
26 Metal Dark Angel Shoulder pads (some primed black mostly raw metal)
Rest of the items that are on the old picked over ravenwing sprue I have (mostly bike items)
A couple of extra small flying bases and stems
If option c) above is chosen I can include 4 sets of storm bolter and power fists and one sgts storm bolter and power sword from aobr termies to give whoever ends up with them a choice of arms to use

I previously gave you two options, one with even more choices, to try to make the deal work, you chose the one that was all cash for the items I had. Why would you do the all cash option when I had offered items that you are now offering me again(space wolves)?

As you can/will no longer due the agreed upon trade, I take this as a backout.

Which seems indefinite, rather than definite. He stated on 12 Jan that it was going to take awhile to get money, and offers trade instead on 28 Jan.

I don't know if this would qualify as a straight BO.

1/5/10 is acceptance of that trade in my eyes.

1/12/10 is reaffirmation of the agreed to trade

This thread made my head hurt.
It started out kinda fun, watching the two of you try to jockey for position and score a tremendous deal.
Man, though, those negotiations broke down something fierce.

The fact that he agreed to it, then told you to relist them was his "doing in."
On 1/30, when you semi-offered another extension on payment, you almost F*ed yourself. The fact that he continued saying that the cash deal is no longer viable was the turning point.

Valid backout.

BTW, as I'm reading this along with the other thread, I'm getting the impression that the OP needs to seriously reconsider how he does deals. This is "better" in the sense that he gave the buyer a couple of options and the buyer appeared to pick one, but if he's having this many backouts, what's up with that?

I dont think I have any worse luck then anyone else when it comes to backouts, I just post them when they happen. I just think of my time as being valuable and if I spend time to get a deal together then the other person backs out its annoying.

I would love to have John pm me and let me know what he means by "OP needs to seriously reconsider how he does deals". I have bumped into a few deadbeats, mostly new traders, and I always try to be explicitly clear in my trades. Seems like the blame for the backouts is being placed in my lap.

Not every backout deserves a backout report. What does it say about you to other traders, when they do a search and see how many backout reports you have left on other traders? Might make them start thinking twice about dealing with you.

Ironhide I appreciate your opinion but fail to see how my posting of backouts is relevant to this individual backing out of a trade. If anyone doesnt want to trade with me because I report backouts/btrs then that is fine and I wont lose any sleep over it

Difference of opinion. Barring a significant family/economic issue that pops up after agreement I think all backouts should be posted...

Anyone that pms me about an item or that I pm, I first check to see if they have any btrs or backouts, and then take that information into account when deciding risk and time to commit. (in my opinion that is the point of these two forums)

If others were more thorough in posting their backouts it might affect others less. I guess what I am saying is that I could keep this information secret and just add traders to my no trade list but I feel a communal responsibility so others do not waste their time as well.

Like I said differnce of opinion. But I would be interested to see if any of my posts have made you think about time spent/language to use with other traders.

But once again just a difference of opinion and I can totally understand being lenient if someone has a major/real issue pop up that precludes them from doing the agreed to trade, I too have let a few slide but they are the exception and not the rule.

Given that you can change your signature at any time, NONE of your "rules" are binding. Only whatever you agree upon in PMs and email is binding.

That i's why Btown requires a PM / e-mail string to support BTR / BO threads - those are the official record. Signatures aren't.
