Had a deal with this guy and he just stopped communicating. I gave him plenty of time to make due on the trade.

I have two Tactical squads primed black and a bunch of painted scouts. If you are interested in any of it I would be interested in your CSM box and Chaos termie box.

I would do the scouts and tac squads for both boxes. If you have no interest in the scouts I would do both tac squads for the termie box.

Just wanted to see if you sent out those minis yet. Once I hear that you have I will get your stuff packaged up and ready to go. Please send a confirmation number when you send out the package. Thanks!

I know you haven't read the previous message I sent you. If I don't hear anything from you about this trade by Friday 1/7/11 I am going to have to assume you have backed out of the trade and proceed accordingly. If you will respond then there is no problem what so ever. Hope this trade can continue.
Adam
The last two messages are still in my outbox. I have not let any negative feedback yet, I was hoping this would help it go somewhere.

How lame. I get backed up with work, I let you know about it. Life happens. So instead of keeping you waiting I let you know and tell you to find another trade. Now I am a dead beat back out?
I didnt let you know the stuff is shipped. You asked me if since i was a new trader if I would be willing to ship first. I said sure. So...where is that a done deal.
Sorry my friend, I just believe this is in bad taste.

Fair warning. There are many on this site who will take the exact opposite p.o.v. Many will say that it was in bad taste to (a) break a deal you agreed to and/or to (b) complain about it when the person you broke the deal with followed a legitimate course of action.ReiksCommaderOtto wrote:Sorry my friend, I just believe this is in bad taste.
Now, I'm not judging you and I'm not criticizing you. I'm just trying to help you figure things out.
You might want to check out the Bartertown Rules, the BTR posting rules and the Deadbeat/Back Out reporting rules and become familiar with them - at least vaguely.

Lower rating? You ship first.

Yes, I have read up on those, and I will make sure when its a "done deal" its a 'done deal'. Anything before the day I ship I will make it clear the trade is not complete yet.

Re: Deadbeat/Backout ReiksCommaderOtto
Word of advice:
If you make it clear to people that the deal isn't finalized until you get around to shipping, you're going to have a lot of people refusing to deal with you. Most, in fact, I'd wager. Traders don't want "possible" trades hanging over their heads. They want actual trades to be agreed upon and completed.
My suggestion is to just get into the habit of only agreeing to those trades you know you will not back out on. if you're unsure, say so.
Statements like, "Sounds like a good deal to me, but give me a day or two to think it over, please" will go a long way on here.
