What's with the jumpiness...

Hello,

I think that this was asked a while back, but when I try to send a PM or post in a thread the screen jumps around as I try to type.
Is there something I can do about this?

Thanks for any answers.

cut down on your caffeine intake.

Otherwise, try clearing your browser cache.

Actually, happened to me yesterday when I was typing up a new post for the 40K section. Didn't start until I got way down in the post so I want to say it might have something to do with length of post vs viewable screen?

I've never had that happen, and I post... considerably more often than the average poster.

I use IE6 at work and IE7 at home.

IE 8.. switch to compatability mode. or switch back to IE7

i asked about this a couple monthes ago before my desktop comp's hd crashed.

if you have automatic updates on for windows, it was installed 'for you'.

That's why I only have mine set to alert me... and I have IE8 removed entirely from the alert list.

I never EVER download a new IE version until it's been out AT LEAST a year, so they can get the major bugs *ahem* and security failures patched up.

My wife changed her laptop to "automatic updates" because she got tired of the taskbar popups and asking me if it was needed.

Lesson learned. Now, every time she closes the lid, it reboots and gives a "windows has recovered from etc.etc.etc.". Too stubborn to ask me to fix it as well. Wonder how long thats gonna last?

Thanks guys. The Compatibility button did the trick. I knew it was something easy.
And Jim, I don't drink too much coffee...

Well, maybe I do.

Compatability mode/button. Where, how, whatever?

Mine is in the pull down from the Tools button. Just click on your tools button and halfway down is a "Compatibility View" option. Click on that and the jumpiness goes away. At least the non-coffee style...

Could swear I looked there before I posted, saw nothing. Looked again after you posted, there it is. Thanks!
