Heya,
I always leave refs for trades I have completed, should I be posting names in the good trader misc info part too? Is there any added benefit from doing it there as well, as a backup?

Only when the ITL is down.
Hopefully, that won't happen again.

I don't use the Good Trader Forum unless the trade has been a particularly good one. I usually feel that the references that I leave suffice to sum up the transaction.

You don't have to use the Good Trader Forum, but you really should use the reference system. It helps everybody. The more information about a trader's habits and an overview of their trades helps tremendously. The Good Trader Forum is more of a "this trader went over the top" kind of place.

I agree with Karl, to a degree.
Personally, I don't see a need for it at all. The comment section on the ITL has enough room for glowing praise.
People like it, though, so...

I think that, if you're going to leave a comment there, it should really be for stand out, SPECTACULAR trades.

or someone who had a negaive comment about him in the back out or bad traders forum.

Exactly! Ashamedly, I forgot to make public note of when Eric not only hand-delivered my trade items to me but also performed a complimentary lap dance as an extra 'thank you'...

I think my post might've been the turning point for throwing this thing SOOOO far off kilter.

As has been said, Good trader posts aren't necessary... EVER... but the forum's available at your discretion. it was created due to the requests of users.

For those who mentioned the issue about people who CAN'T receive ref's because of having punctuation in their names... I emailed Adam. He said he'll try to get to it this weekend and, if he doesn't, I should poke him today. I told him I'd wait until Tuesday for the poking, since today's a Holiday.

Even God took a day off.
