Yes. It has been discussed before, but I'll go ahead and let you know that it is because the persons you have PMed have not read them yet. When they log on and look at their messages, it'll show sent.

Other boards that have lots of noise and dakka.. send PM's instantlike.. here, 2 step process..

It's hard to compare us to other sites.

At other sites, for example, you send the message and it's just gone to the warp. You never know if the person's seen it, opened it, read it or what. You can look at his profile & see that he's logged in, but that's it.

Here, though, keeping track of messages is important. It helps you judge trades. Say, for example, you've sent 3 messages to a guy, asking about some minis he has available, but he hasn't responded. You look and see he's logged in since you sent your most recent one. If it's in your Outbox, you know he hasn't opened it yet, so the trade might end up going through, eventually. If they're all in your sentbox, though, it tells you he's opened them, read them, and not bothered to respond. Definitely time to move on.
