I'm trying to leave feedback for a great trade, but I can't get the reference to post. The trader's name is BLARGAG!!! and every time I attempt to post a positive ref, it tells me the name is misspelled, even if I copy and paste it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

People who use puntuation in their user names seem to experience this on a regular basis. I believe it has something to do with the ITL database not being able to recognize them.

That would be correct.
It's been reported to TrademasterAdam and is, simply, awaiting his attention (his personal, work AND BTown plates are all VERY full right now).

If it is an issue with the names having punctuations in them, perhaps Adam can bypass that by making it to where usernames can only have letters and numbers and underscores or hyphens.

The only problem with that is that it'll mess with the existing users.
Probably easier in the long run to just fix the current issue than worry about dealing with problems for existing users as well.
I'll poke 'im again.

Then why not have the users with the messed up names change them? Or make up new accounts and get rid of the old ones. It's not like they have any feedback. Besides, we all know how long it can take for Adam to fix that. If it can be fixed. Might be some work the admins will have to take care of, but hey isn't that what your here for? To reduce Adam's work load?

Because it won't work that way.
Btown hasn't always had that problem. It just started with the newest board incarnation. It just needs a little finessing.
I did a quick search.
ref_view.php?user_id=49
LOL I know *I* don't want to be the one to tell this guy he has to start a new user Name.
The choices are to have people wait a little bit, and have adam do a little work, or to have everyone with non-alphanumeric User ID's start a new one. I think we're better off having Adam do the work.
It is no work that anyone BUT Adam can do, as it has to do with programming. Believe me, if one of the rest of us COULD do it, he would have already. Not just for Adam, but for everyone with non-alphanumeric User ID's.
