Where to find D3?

I don't go to alot of different fora, so here's where I ask alot of my dumb questions.

Where can I find a D3? Not those $5 dice that actually have 3 sides, but a simple six sided die labelled 1-3 twice.

I'd prefer pips if I can get them, or at least mixed pips/digits and some color besides board game white.

I'm trying to equip my young nephew for necromunda and nothing thrills a true nerd like his first bag of dice. I've got extra D6, scatter dice, etc, but I've only acquired a couple of D3 in the past 2 decades. Where can I get more?

Thanks,

Con

Chessex makes them http://www.chessex.com/Dice/Specialty%2 ... _sided.htm so I'd imagine anywhere you can get them can get the d3 as well. If I find an online source I'll post it.

Roll a D6, divide by 3 rounding fractions up.

That's a d2, which is just as easily handled by flipping a coin.

For a "d3", you can divide by 2, rounding up:
1-2 = 1
3-4 = 2
5-6 = 3

Or if you're math-minded, you can count modulo:
1,4 = 1
2,5 = 2
3,6 = 3

Whichever convention you choose, you need to be consistent

I think he was looking for the cool factor...

Not Ironhide's divide by 3 method. :-D

Sure, you can do it that way, but the nerd in me likes to use a D3.

Besides, the last thing I need when trying to get a 10 year old interested in a game is to say "here, let's do some math".

Actually, shouldn't you divide my 3, multiply by 1.5, add your age, then divide by your character's level... finally, just choosing a number at random?

Only if you are DMing an amalgamation game of DND, ADND, 2nd Ed, GURPS 4, DND 3, and Shadowrun. ;)
