So what are you doing here? Posting a thread in this forum for a trade all ready underway with the thought you can get feedback here as well?

Hmm... i thought i would atleast make the list of our both trade we both
will agree on before i actually mail it?

I mean i dont want to mail it, and half way there something unsuspecting occures like
the contents are not the same etc etc ( not saying it will but i want to be safe and all ).

It isnt underway yet ( he didnt agree outside of private message, and i havnt mailed it yet )

Like im sorry that im been careful but, i have been scammed $1k before in the past, so im
doing everything as carefully as i can ( i know the guy have good reputation , not doubting him no )

This is a place to list your stuff that you want to sell or trade or for stuff you are needing. This is not a place to keep track of your trades from another website. If this trade started on another site then you need to finish it there!

well... all i can say is im sorry ?

i thought this is a friendly place that would atleast help my first trade go smoothly.
so i can confidently start trading actively here.

Remember, just because i didnt start here first, doesnt mean i wont be a happy participant here in the future.

Sorry...I was not meaning to be unfriendly. But your trade would be better handled by PM between you and your trade partner. If you are worried about your first trade, ask for advice in the questions section. Many people here would gladly answer questions and give advice. If you need to research about a trader here, check thier references and check the good and bad trader forums. As far as posting messages about trade details, I think it would be better to post those on the website where the trade started. I am glad to have more users here on BT and you are welcome here. Please don't think I was trying to discourage you from trading here, I was just trying to let you know that it is probably best to finish this trade on the website where it started.

Thread is being moved to a more appropriate forum - Have Questions? Need Help?

LunaHound - welcome to Bartertown! Seems the "Welcome Wagon" (which in no way resembles an Ork Battlewagon filled with curmudgeons armed with bludgeons) got to you first.
It's not personal.

However, I'm sure you'll find more people willing to help figure your situation out. Also, I highly recommend reading the forum rules (linky in my sig line)

Well, I'd be wanting to know what the condition of his models are and what edition. Since you provided pics of yours, maybe you should see if he could provide pics of his.

My apologies to LunaHound. I was not meaning to be a jerk, but it happens sometimes.
I hope I did not change your mind about trading here on BT.

Its ok guys i was just confused so no harm done. making thread like this important for me so i can
keep track of stuff . soon enough he sent me a pm saying i left out the 1 unit of chaos knight he was
giving me.

I have a question if i may . Is it normal to keep transaction between PMs?
I noticed he haven't made a single reply post to have written public confirmation in a thread ( is it normal? )
Im sorry if im overly cautious, i really dont mean any harm.

Generally, things resort to PM's once negotiations start. Sometimes you might see the beginning of one in a thread, but because of details and such that most times people do not want to be public, PMs are better.

Welcome to Bartertown. :)

We do NOT keep track of transactions in the public forums. Oh, GOD, how that would clutter this place up.

All communications between you and your trade partner should be done privately, via PM or EMAIL.

The important things to ask about his models and offer about yours (without being asked) are:

1) What is the condition? Painted, primed, assembled, broken, incomplete, on sprue, etc.?
2) What are the trade specifics (I get X, you get Y)?
3) Who is shipping first?
4) What are the shipping terms?
-- Are you using priority? First class?
-- Are you using Delivery Confirmation (I suggest you ALWAYS do this)
-- Are you both insuring the packages (Some insist on this)?
-- How are they to be packaged (I suggest using boxes for models, ALWAYS)?
5) If trading internationally, how are you valuing the models? Remember that, if you have to make any sort of an insurance claim on them, you'll only get the amount you claimed as value, tops. Also, DO NOT LIE ON CUSTOMS FORMS. A trade is not a "gift."

Those are the main points.

Eric

P.S. Always save ALL communications until the deal is complete on both sides and references have been left by both parties.

Thanks for all the tips guys!
shipped out yesterday with confirmation , one thing i didnt realize was...

the package wasnt just calculated by weight ( also the dimension too )

not knowing that it ended up costing me almost $19 for shipping lol.
