How long without contact?

I haven't been in contact with another user for awhile. He has a higher rating (72) and joined in 2004, so my assumption is that he is busy or something happened. He sent me a message on December 6th, and I sent one back on December 14th. I had sent him out his stuff (before the 14th), but haven't heard back from him and everyone else I sent to got their stuff.

I have been really kind with my messages, in case it's a money issue, but still nothing. I show he last logged on on December 28th, and I sent him a second message but he hasn't checked it yet. Any suggestions? I avoided listing the name in case that is a breach, I've seen posts with the names deleted before.

I sent him messages on the 15th, 20th, and Jan 2. Only the Jan.2 is showing as unread.

It's been 4 weeks, and you haven't gotten a reply?

IMO, that level of non-communication is simply not acceptable.

You should send him another note today, marked "urgent", and set a few deadlines.

Let him know *exactly* what you expect:
- a reply within 48 hours,
- a tracking number with 96 hours, and
- merchandise received no later than 7 days from now.
If he fails to do meet any of the above deadlines, then BTR him so others can help you find to *exactly* what is going on.

Be a stickler and remind. If he has an alternate e-mail address, or a phone, then leave a message. Be polite, but firm.

At this point, higher rating or not, he isn't doing what he needs to do.

Of course, you would be in Canada. So if it's an international trade, some delay could be unavoidable. But 4 weeks, he should have gotten a message back.

Well, it's really good of you to be giving him the benefit of the doubt. There are a lot of things that could have happened and, at his rating, a scam seems unlikely.
Do you have his email address? If so, I suggest an email opposed to PM. If not, I'd suggest PMing his last 3 or 4 trade partners, let them know you're having a problem contacting him via PM and that you're in middle of a trade. Ask if they have his email address... then, see above.
If none of them have it, move down the list to the next 4 or 5 traders, etc.
