Im wondering with monster poc and the new soon to hit the streets World of War craft game if another section along side the clik section could be added if you look in the fururistic misc section thier tons of monster ads and since these games are more of a collectable Im wondering if they and maybe boardgames might get thier own section to help people but thier trades under a better section. I like to hear from the mods and anyone else who might suggest a new section or a good title for these items. the current list of items I listed sorta fit in that section but might be better served in something with a bit more focus ...just a suggestion and I look forward to hearing your ideas

We have had requests over the years for a boardgame section.. but overall the amount of traffic on that subject indicates that there would be little traffic there. A lot of the request actually make it under other sections.. I remember someone wanting to trade board games for 40k, so he put it on that forum.

I would support a title change on the Clix board to include all collectible miniature games though.

In general, I think Btown can have categories simplified, rather than added. There are far too many categories right now that drive minimal traffic. Combine them to remove duplicate ads and overall board clutter.

Huh? We already have auctions for future / fantasy / historical / other.

I'm just trying to fold this down from 25 current categories into 18 total categories. That is, I don't think we need 7 Fantasy categories and can get away with 4. Nor do I think that Clix needs to be a separte group when it can fall under Other / Collectible Mini Gaming

I do like the Miscelaneous board in Other. I think it would get more action than most of us think.

The problem is change. You change the boards and you will get no end of grief. Some people don't deal with change so well. I know that some folks dropped off the boards just because they didn't like the look of the new boards.

I can't imagine how much griping there would be if you instituted these changes. Me. I like them.

As a last note, I don't think Eric ate his bon-bons today. He obviously is a little lost on this thread.

Yeah, I'm familiar with board changes on other sites.

One thing that we did before was to inform in advance and poll of potential changes when it was time to restructure things. We took our time, and it was an interactive process and that helped immensely.

In my proposal, I'm mostly consolidating low-traffic stuff (which won't affect many people), and reducing the hair-splitting required, so it should be cleaner and clearer than what we have today. If the boards are well-described and clear, and the changes are well-described, then it is better received.

I like what you saying here for my own use and those who Ive recently directed to this site,,they have mentioned it wasnt as clean and clear as it should /could be...

Maybe I just misunderstood.
I thought you were suggesting that all the listed items get fropped into ONE forum.

For example:

Futuristic

All the bulleted points would go into one "Futuristis" forum.

Thus, the freak out.

I didn't say you'd be entirely wrong in thinking so...

The simplification intrigues me. Things were getting a tad unwieldy for my liking.

Also, gordon, can you give me some concrete examples of what your friends were looking for layout-wise?
