Remember me?

Hi Staff,
When I come to BT most of the time I'll have to re-sign in even though I always check the "Remember me" box. So when I am PMing or checking responces to a posted message I have to sign in many times. Sometimes I even have to sign in several times even though I remain at BT. This never happens to me on other sites except on eBay (every 24 hours I have to sign in again) and financial sites ( each time). I've had warhammer sites that I haven't visited in months and they remember me.

1. Can this be fixed on my end? i.e. Browser Settings?
2. Is work be done on this problem on Bartertown's end?

Thanks Sandy Death

You try deleting your files, offline content and BTown cookie?

It has to do with the cookie setting in your browser. If you're not allowing cookies then the board can't "remember" you. It sounds like you've got them enabled if you are able to come back to other sites though. I would find and delete the cookie from BarterTown and log in again (after deleting cache files as well.) That should solve your problem. I had the same issue and that's what fixed it.

Actually, it's probably not that. If FEEbay and other sites are remembering him properly, his cookies are fine.

I had a thought earlier, though.

Are you using the "Back" button on the forums? I used to use it like crazy. I still do, but not on here.
I get booted out left and right when I do.

If that's what you're doing, stop it and you'll be okay, barring the occasional annoyances.

Hi Members,
Yesterday I was trying to PM a fellow trader and each time, after I had written the message, it asked me to repeat my sign-in operation. Then I'd have to re-write the message and go through the same thing. I was a gerbel on a wheel. Fustrating to say the least.
So, I dusted off my smart cap and went into "Internet Explorer" and enabled a bunch of cookie stuff. So now BT seems to recognize me.
Why other sites always did and BT didn't will forever remain a mystery to me.

Thanks for your help guys
