Problem posting a reference

Hi Staff,
I just posted a "Good Reference " for Don Matwe, screen name "squalie". The reference omitted both our emails and gave me a score of 1952 which is off by about 1200%. Did I do something wrong? If not, could the administrators amend my post?

Thanks Sandy Death

I think you should report the problem in Trademaster Adam's Bug Report thread. Although, I think he knows about that bug by now. All of my references are doing the same thing. Although, it doesn't change your "reference score" on the boards, just on the references pages.

I'm locking this thread, as there is already a thread for posting problems (as Adun has pointed out - Thanks, Adun).

This is a KNOWN issue. I discovered it during testing. TMA still went live with it because (1) he made a promise and (2) it isn't a huge problem. I'll explain:

The ITL updates in 2 places. For simplicity, I'm going to call it a "back page" and a "front page."
When you post a reference, it goes to both pages. On the back page, it bumps EVERYONE's score up by 2 points for a positive (and a negative drops it by 10), while not adding anything onto their reference "list" that shows the comments, etc. of the person who left it. The FRONT page, however only updates the score of the person who SHOULD receive the ref. The FRONT page is the important part, at this point, because THAT is what affects the number to the right of your username on the forums.

Hope that cleared it up.

Eric

Ahhh! Then it would work better for me if the screw up was on the "front page".
