I'm going to try to convert my Black Reack terminators with the Ravenwing sprue assault cannons. I'm hoping someone out there has already attempted this and could send me a pic or two so I can get a feel for where to cut, mount, etc.

(Not sure if the AC is from Ravenwing or not, but it's a start)

The plain AC and RW AC are identical in mounting, just the decoration is different. (I've got a half dozen of each sitting in my parts bin.)

The arms are separate on the AoBR Termies, so adding and AC instead of a stormbolter arm should be a snap. I'll know in about a week here hopefully. I'll be using mine for Space Hulk.

Arms are separate and on pegs so they're somewhat poseable. Easy swap with existing Termie arms, even for a novice.

I got a couple of the BR Termie promos from White Dwarf and trading, and converted 1 using the standard Terminator Heavy Flamer. Just cut the pin on the BR Termie shoulder, and make sure you have a spare shoulderpad from the basic Terminator set for the arm. No Problem.

I was asked at the store if that was one of the BR weapons, so, I guess it looks pretty identical.

Not trying to threadjack, but here is what I've done with the Black Reach Sergeant. I could not stand the way the Sergeant looked...pointing off to his left while screaming straight ahead. So, off with his head! I used one of the heads from the SM Commander sprue and made him look in the correct direction. One of the guys at the store was so impressed that he wanted me to do his as well. The pic of the sergeant with no head is the 2nd one I did (for the other guy). The Sarge with the head and no arm is mine.

Yes, I'll be happy to do this for anyone else as well. Just PM me. I guarantee 100% satisfaction with my work.

Second:

I actually prefer the head in the position it's in. It's like he's screaming at his men to "Get over there and defend that breach," or saying, "Hey. Look, guys! Strippers!"

Mmmm... Strippers...

Third:
A thought I had for converting the Termies to AC Termies was to use the Heavy Flamer arm and snip off the heavy flamer. A little filing and gluing, and attach the Autocannon to it. It might need a couple gaps filled with GS, but I think it would work.

How did the guy in the link convert his? Is it a simple arm swap, or something more impressive?

Because you don't have any, want some, have the bits to do it, and don't want to pay Feebay/Warstore prices for a bit that you can make.

Because I only built 6 units? Each unit has 2 heavy options, one being an AC? That and I ended up buying/trading for scads of spare DA parts and ended up with a pile of spare ACs...
