Why not check and see if some else has asked the exact same question before creating a brand new useless thread?

You know, if the feedback thing hasn't been fixed by April, i'm gonna make an April Fool's post stating that ref posting is working again. Sure, it might not seem funny now. But come April it'll be hilarious.

If it isn't working by APRIL, and you post that... You can expect to find a few dozen Bartertowners knocking on your door... with torches and pitchforks... on April 2nd screaming, "Kill the monster!!!"

If it ain't working by April, you might as well pack up Bartertown as a whole........all jokes aside.
Good lord let's hope not.........

If it isnt working soon ,bartertown is done.I talked to more than a few who left after the last crash. For some who stayed this may be the last straw.Im out till it gets fixed.

This thread is superfluous (as Dakkar pointed out).
I don't think it is all gloom and doom. Yet.
The Good Trader board is humming with activity.
So, trading seems to be still going on.
Some of us are still doing multiple trades and the trading threads haven't dried up completely.
I hope that not too many traders have LEFT because the reference system is broke. Just keep track of everything and soon you should be able to praise or rip apart (GO Vycem!) your fellow traders.

It's not that it doesn't concern me. It's not that at all.
My reaction was specifically in reaction to your "Doom and Gloom" response and NOT towards the main issue at all.

Practical and realistic.Im sure it wont effect the "old gang" at all but its sure to turn off some newbies. It gives the impression that your dealing with a unstable site is all.I do appreciate everything the guys do to keep this place going ,and all for free, just hate to see it lose credibilty.

MM, say what you will, the man's got an extremely valid point.
If I were a "newbie" and I know that I'm not going to get recognized for my efforts (aka, increasing my trade rating), then yeah, I'd shy away from here too. Why not wait until it's fixed?? Us in the 100+ range are established, we have little to fret about.
I wouldn't be all gung ho if I was a new guy.......can't blame them if they have left or are weary at a bare minimum.

I do NOT disagree with the part about newer traders having issues with it.
I TOTALLY understand that. 200+ rating aside, i still remember when I was new here and just how valuable the ITL was in helping me decide who I was willing to ship first to.
Here are my points for the

.
If it isnt working soon ,bartertown is done.
Really? Really? Bartertown is
done? maybe I should have fitterpete define "soon."
"Soon" to me is a week or so, tops.
It's been longer than that already and, guess what... Still kicking!
For some who stayed this may be the last straw.
"Damned Bartertown! Taking forever to get the feedback portion of their free-for-me-to-use site up & running again! Screw them. I'm leaving and taking my trades with me!"
Sorry, but I definitely see these two points as

able.
I stated clearly, when it was obvious that my initial

was misunderstood, that my reaction was not in relation to the ITL being down. I totally understand the concern on that point.

I completely agree. Fitterpete raises a VERY valid concern of new traders here.
MM, the ref system has been down going on a month now. While I'm sure Adam has a good handle on the situation and we all appreciate his efforts, it's even getting worrisome for some of us "old guard" that refs cannot be accessed. I agree that a week or two would be no big deal, but going on a full month without refs, that's quite a big worry for every trader here to take a leap of faith and continue trading.
He's also correct in assuming that if one of the foundations of what makes this site so user-friendly (the refs) are not up soon, it
might just be "the end of BT" or at least a sizable hurt. If there are less traders using these boards, then there are less page hits for advertisers, which is what helps keep this site free and running.

...and I contend that Btown could go another MONTH without the ITL being fixed and they wouldn't be hurt for it.
