A question about email addresses

Hello,

I've just made an agreement to purchase miniatures from someone, but now the Paypal address he's given me is different than the address listed in all of his feedback. I asked him if I could send him an email to the address listed, but he says he doesn't use it any more.

I'd rather not back out because I'd like the minis and I feel like I might be being a bit overcautious. I understand switching email addresses every once and awhile(hell, I haven't made a trade here in years). I'd just like some feedback here on if I'm being unreasonably paranoid. Any suggestions on another way to confirm identity?

Several people have differenty email dealing with different things. My Paypal email is different than the email I regularily use for trading. That way I can generally keep financial emails separte from my normal "traffic" email so that nothing get accidentially deleted.

If you have doubts ask for a phone number that they can be contacted by. You then can call and confirm ID. If you are close enough arrange a neutral drop off point and make sure to bring a friend.
Having doubts about handing money over, see if you can pay half up front and then half when you see the DC#. The DC# can usually be checked within several hours for confirmation.

Not sure how the other person will react. but it is better to be safe than sorry, there wil l always be other trades
