given, that post a reference thread is down, and will probably be until a while,
I want to get some references up, I've dealt with over 5 people already since my ratings, and could i just make a thread?
I wouldn't give credit to myself, it would be a index threads and i'd forward the link to my thread to those people who have traded with me.
is this tolerated?

Ask people to put your feedbacks in the GOOD TRADER forum for the moment. It will accomplish exactly what you are looking to do. You can put the link in your signature directly to the thread.
As you cannot put other people's comments in the thread, it should serve your porpoises. (go sea world!)

I don't think it would be explicitly against the rules, but it would definitely be frowned upon by many.
The thing is, if you create a folder in the GTR forum on yourself, it has the illusion of looking like you're saying something positive about yourself... which gives the illusion of inappropriate activity (feedback for self)
I'd suggest a PM to the person you traded with that has the highest reference (they are more understanding of the integral nature of pos. ref's). Ask THEM to start a thread on you. Then, once they do, PM your other traders and ask them to drop a note in it.
In the mean time, start your own thread on your positive trades and list all of those people. It'll show that you're willing to reciprocate the effort that you're asking them to expend.
