Doing a quick check on the GW site, this totals up to roughly $410, without adding in the Chaplain's cost. So you're basically paying retail for an already painted army. So, do you like the paint jobs? Are you happy with them? Is the time saved worth that to you? I know that I don't feel that the mini's are "mine" until I've painted them myself, but that's just me. I also noticed a number of mold lines on the terminators (didn't look through all the pics though). I'd judge the paint jobs at a bit below tabletop.
Also note that just about anything can be purchased for 20% off retail now, so that brings the value of the mini's down to about 330, give or take. May want to keep that in mind.

Looking at the pics, I would not pay close to retail for them. Many of the minis have mold lines and the paint job is very "grainy" and uneven. IMO, the poor assembly and below TT quality paint job actually detracts greatly from the price.
Sorry if I am coming off a bit harsh..... just my opinion.

I can't see the images at work, so I can only be general in my advice.
First and, most importantly, what WE feel is a fair price doesn't matter. The question is whether or not YOU feel comfortable with it.
That being said, here's the kind of pricing that is most common on Bartertown:
Brand new minis, still in box/blister: 75% to 80% original retail price (minis with "collectable" status typically go for more).
Brand new minis, OUT of box/blister: 75% to 80% original retail (minis with "collectable" status might go for more, but not as much as if they were NIB [New In Box]).
Assembled minis: 65% to 80% original retail (a WELL assembled mini can be as valuable to some people as a NIB mini).
Primed minis: 50% to 75% original retail (a WELL assembled and WELL primed mini can still do okay, but will usually fall in the median of the amounts I've given.
Painted minis: 50% to 100% original retail. This varies wildly, depending on WHAT the mini is, how easy it will be to strip the paint off, how much the buyer WANTS to strip the paint (for example, it *I* have to strip the paint, you will NOT get more than 25% of original retail from me... Hence, I've almost NEVER bought painted minis), how well cleaned the mold lines are, how well glued they are and the quality of the paint job. A RELLY WELL painted mini/unit/army could easily get retail price here. There are people who have and will spend that kind of money. The problem lies in that it has to be a certain color scheme. If I have a black & purple Dark Eldar army, your Dark Green unit won't fit in that well. A well painted Ultramarine or Dark Angel or Black templar (Etc) mini/unit, however, is a fairly universal fit.
So, the bottom line, based on the comments I've read above is taht *I* would pay $100 or less for that army. I would have to strip it, clean the mold lines, and repaint it. That's a lot of hassle for me. You, on the other hand, might not care about all that, You might just like to play the game and feel that it's worth it not to have to assemble the models and paint an army... Maybe you don't clean mold lines anyway. Maybe you paint like an epileptic monkey and these are actually BETTER than what you do. I don't know. Only you do. Is this army, at this quality level, worth it to you?
I wouldn't suggest going over 80% of regular retail, though. As Lormax pointed out, you can buy them NEW for that much.
One other thing:
Where are you and the other trader located?
I noticed you used the terms "Chapter Priest," which I presume to be a "Chaplain" and "Cybot," which is what a Dreadnought is called in some countries.
If you are not both in the same country (actually, even if you ARE... but ESPECIALLY if you are not), I suggest using PayPal. If you don't have the models in 44 days, file a claim. Trading out of your home country can be a real PITA if the guy decides to scam you.
Good luck.
Eric

hi, thanks for the feedback!
the deal actually also includes a GW case ... hm. assembling and painting is a pain for me in great amounts ... somehow i feel less secure now about the whole deal although i thought i had thought this through thoroughly ...
oh pants.

The paint job isn't any worse than I've seen around here. There are lot of people who do FAR worse on their armies. It is a basic paint job though. I wouldn't pay much more than 80% as stated before, but then again there are parts of my painting style that are better than what I saw in those pictures. (I'm not all that good at faces/eyes, those look like an epileptic monkey somtimes)
Then again I like to paint so I'd probily have to knock those down to 60-65% "at my worth"

If that were the *exact* army that I wanted, I'd be willing to pay up to 80% retail for it (i.e. what I'd pay buying from a discounter). The get-you-by paint job doesn't add any significant value to the army - I'd look at it like a prepaint. The size of the army gives some pause, as I'd be building from Battleforces or Apocalypse packs to save money, so, looking at bulk retail...
1 chapter priest = $15 US
20 assault marines = $90 (battleforce)
5 death company = $35 (special box)
5 jump packs = FREE bitz
5 terminators = $50
10 scouts = $25 (5 included above)
3 Baal Predator = $90 (apocalypse pack)
1 Furioso Cybot = $40 (special Dread)
To me, that totals to about $340 GW retail equivalent, so if new, the reference WarStore cost is $275, $300 with the case.
Considering the paint job is thoroughly mediocre, I think anywhere from $225 to $250 would be a fair price for it, assuming that this was the army and paint scheme that I was planning on. If the paint job were better, $250 to $275; if really good, $275 to $300. But at $300, it would have to be obviously good.
