40k basing question

I'm rebasing a lot of old RT-era stuff, and I need to know the "new" sizes for the bases. Are Terminators based on 40mm round bases, and Dreads on 60mm round?

Correct. I remember reading somewhere that you can make the base bigger if you want to. BUT DON'T QUOTE ME ON IT! I think it was in the rulebook. Have a check, and LMK, as I don't have the new book yet.

It used to be (4th edition) that you could go larger with bases, but NOT smaller.
Now, the official rule is that you have to use the CORRECT sized base and, if you want to do ANYTHING otherwise, it is with opponent's permission.
...of course, anyone who expects you to rebase your commander from a 40mm base down to the "proper" 25 mm base just needs a poke in the eye.

See pg. 3 in the 5th edition BBoR. Models are mounted on the base they are "normally" supplied with. Otherwise you need you opponents permission.

So what that's saying is all the RT era stuff, you don't have to rebase. If it's on a 25mm base then it's on the base it came with.
Attack bikes, didn't come with bases. Do the regular plain-jane bikes come with bases? I'm basing mine, it adds some reinforcement to them to prevent breakage (especially the attack bike). Just measure to the model and we're fine...I'll be informing each of my opponents as well.

I suspect that they mean whatever the model would be supplied with, were it to be sold today. IIRC, Dreads used to not have bases, and keeping all my termies on 25mm bases probably wouldn't fly.
