Leman Russ turret question

Just had a random question regarding the assembly of a Leman Russ turret - or rather, wondering if there are several options. I'm not talking about the various cupola options (open/closed, commander, weapons) - but I have 3 parts per sprue for which I cannot account. It appears that they fit together (turret top, hatch and an armored plate of some kind), but I cannot find an image of it.

(I would take pics, but I don't have access to my camera right now. If no one can get me an answer by tonight, I'll try to take pics.)

Are these from the acc. sprue or the actual russ sprue.

If the are the acc. sprue hatches then yeah, they are just another option for a hatch.

I recently assembled a whole armored company and I can't recall any bits left over that werent just details and add ons. Does BWB have a pic of it?

I believe what you are talking about is another option for a hatch... before GW released the accessory option sprue.. the hatch was molded in on the turret frame of the russes.. they never removed that part...

if i;m right what your talking about is a

copula ring
a domed hatch
and a u shaped piece of armor that connects to the top of the whole assembled mess.

dont worry about it you don't need it... its just a different option!

Yep, those are the pieces. I went ahead and assembled those (but am not gluing them in). That way, I can use the normal cupola & hatch, with the heavy stubber as well.

Oh yeah, that makes sense now. I couldnt for some reason remember anything being left over.

Thanks Darksoul.
