posting a trade ref

I have, to the best of my knowledge, posted a favourable reference to a bartertown member using his user ID. Everything appeared to work fine, alas, no reference or email notification. Am I doing something wrong? do I need to know the secret handshake

When did you do it? The ref system has been messed up because of the server move for the past few days.

the past 48hrs sounds about right! Do you get 1 point per ref? where can I check my refs?

You get 2pts per good ref, (supposedly) +1 per neutral (although I've noticed you get +0), and -10 per negative.
You can check your refs by clicking on the hyperlinked blue number under your s/n or going to the "Check Refs" icon @ the top of the page.
