Given, I'm fairly new.
but, when all of the nuts and bolts of a trade are worked out, and someone says It'll be in the mail by friday. and two weeks go by and i pm them wondering and they say "i got it somewhere else" what do i do?

This has happened about 4 times in the last month.

Forgive me for being a bit harsh, but...

It's a bunch of half-assed, short-attention-spanned, inconsiderate morons who think the world revolves around them and their particular needs. They have no concept of of a Binding Agreement. In short, they are deadbeats.

Long have we noted this problem, and we will soon have a method of recourse for you. As it stands, we are waiting for the Trademaster to finish transferring all the data over to the new ISP. Once that's done, we have a new rule set to roll out as well as a new ITL feedback rating.

It doesnt only happen to new people. I have had 4-6 pending trades the last month. And since I have a higher rating, I have earned the right to not have to ship first. So I end up waiting and waiting. After 2 weeks of no communications or products. I send them 1 last PM stating that I am cancelling the trade.

Give them 2 weeks. And if no Product or Communication. Send them a PM stating you are cancelling the trade. And move on to the next trade.


What ya got in trade? If you check my References, I am very prompt in shipping and communicate until the Trade is done with. Sometimes, I communicate months later asking if they can leave me a reference.


That is another one of my pet peeves here. Why the crap do people not leave References. You sometimes have to beg for it. I just don't get it. I leave a Reference right away when I get a payment or the Product. So as not to forget. But, there are still so many out there that just can't find the time to click and Post a Reference. What the crap is that.

And let us not get into packaging. Ask anyone of the people that ever got something from me and they will tell you I take the time to pack the stuff well. I'll leave it at that.

Happen to have any High Elf stuff jadefalcon? Sounds like you're the type of trader I am looking for in this new land of Barter Town.

I've ran into that problem but only once. I was told the stuff was being shipped and then btown went down. Not a problem I figured it'd be delayed for a week but then after two and three; I knew it wasn't coming.

My general rule is to PM them once as a reminder. A second time wondering what's going on, and finally a third time stating that the deal is off.

Hope it discontinues to happen.
