I'm trying to come up with a good table method to use with limited space. I want to find a good collapsable table for my 40k games. So, needless to say, it's gotta be big. I've thought about some of those big collapsable card tables you can get in Walmart, which seem OK. But I wanna hear from anyone who has some experience in this before I go out and buy something.

Those card tables work fairly well, though they do tend to be a bit shaky. a solid bump on the table edge would likely knock half the armies over.

Buy one of those folding tables that pro-wrestlers are soo fond of diving through and bolt a 4x8ft piece of particle board to the top. The legs fold under and you can store it up against a wall. 4x8 is big enough for 2 simultaneous battles of Warmachine or a big game of 40k. This is the solution I went with and I don't regret it.

I made 2 4*8 tables for my store out of 2*4's. They are very sturdy and i made it so the legs come off so they can be stored upright and take up a very small ammount of room. If your interested just let me know and ill tell you how to do it. Its very easy. I think each table cost me about 50 bucks at the end of it all.

at one point i made a table out of saw horses that collapsed to lay flat. 2 different sizes of pipe that slid one into the other. and were welded together.
i'll see if i can come up with the designs. they worked great.

This might sound dumb but sometimes you can get a really good deal on a fold-up Ping Pong table and they usually even have wheels. You can just roll it into a closet or against the wall. They are generally pretty sturdy too.

Don't get plastic fold up tables from walmart, they are way too flimsy AND cost about $40 a table. I know this because I own two.

I highly recommend going to say a Sam's Club. They have commercial tables that are very sturdy and cost $40.

heh heh. that's ironic. sam's club and walmart are the same place, well owned by the same company.

I was at Sam's Club and thought, "nah I'll pass on those tables, they are $40 and I don't want to spend that much."

About two weeks later I really needed tables and forgot that Sam's had them.... so I got them at walmart.
