PayPal vs Postal Money Order?

Hi!

I was wondering what people had to say about PayPal vs USPS Postal Money Orders. I know PayPal can be fast, but I don't believe that it is secure.

I have recently changed my auctions to only accept USPS Posta Money Orders, and only ship via US Mail. If I'm going through a fraud process, I want the other guy to go to jail with a Felony on his record!

On the other hand, I don't think PayPal has similar "teeth" or protections.

What do the rest of you think?

Thanks,

/John

paypal will only give you money from an account that has funds. if the other guy never puts or receives $$ in that account, you're sol.
also, paypal charges you to receive the $$.
usps charges the seller, a flat amount per MO.
and you can cash it instantly and get it replaced/refunded if it gets lost or destroyed in the mail.

just an fyi. i just completed a 3 week training school on 1 of the letter sorting machines. it's the basis of most all the letter sorters. it sorts mail at 15 feet a sec. do the math, and see why i say don't ship anything in a plain letter or busines size envelope.

I agree John. I like the protection a USPS money order affords me, as well as it being more secure than Paypal. and it is very easy to establish amount of theft then, you have the receipt. As far as letters lost in the mail, I have had an incident where a girlfriend claimed I never mailed her a birthday card, then about 14 months later it was delivered with the post mark from 14 months ago.
