I am always looking for a good idea and im toying with the idea of offering a raffle for a new dark angels army box.. buy a ticket get a chance at the box

purchase point of 5.00

would you be interested in something like that?

a 5.00 chance for a 210.00 army box

im considering doing this for the different forum members and splitting the proceeds among several boards to help with costs

fyi i checked all applicable laws in my state concerning this and i have no issues :)

your feedback is welcome

I would be interested. I dont play 40k anymore, but I would be interested, and would pitch 5 bucks for a chance to get a whole new army, especially if you found that there was enough interest that you could do it for every release (and if there was enough interest, find a charity that could use a donation after covering your expenses and a little kickback for yourself, but that'd prolly require a lot of interest).

:-D

I know of a few AIDS and/or Cancer charities that could use the help, and I am sure it could be a write off for your business. *shrug* Again though, gotta reiterate the whole interest part. I hope so though, that would be really neato.

I wouldnt have a problem with that either. Personally, I know I would be much much much more willing to participate if the money is going to charity or to help keep BT running, nothing personal Drop Zone, just BT has a ton of members, and IF the interests were really high, then you would stand to make a very large sum of money for really, the cost of nothing. While that probably wouldnt deter me from participating, I think that I could blame one good and restful nights sleep could be blamed on it... hehe

well sleepy that brings up some interesting ideas i mean i would need somewhere in the area of 20- 25 people for each event to cover the costs and the shipping... if we got significantly more then their could be a lot of sources that could benefit

15% to each of the websites whatever is left to a random charity

make a donation to the red cross in btowns name or whatever

im just looking to find out how many would do it to see if it viable
im not doing this to make a heap of cash for myself.. i know your not saying that and i think alot of people know its not all about money for me

Robert,
I dont think that, I was however pointing out something that might be a consideration from others. I am glad you are willing to engage in open dialogue about this, I would love to see this be big!

I'd be up for that as the initial amount is very do-able for the prize at hand and besides even if I don't win the money does good in some fashion.

Anything to help the community and possibly donation to charities would be good. Cancer would be a nice one considering recent effect on my family...but to see it get big enough to help websites and have a bit of fun is always good.

Sounds like a good idea Robert. I'm sure there would be significant interest in this. 40Kers are, after all, always looking for a good deal. $5 for an army box is tough to pass by.

Donating the proceeds is just an added bonus to it. I suggest doing yourself a favor and donating it to your choice of charity. It's impossible to please everyone and it could turn into a headache asking for people's opinions on which charity to give it to. my $.02

Thanks for your ideas
Robert
