Feedback Numbers

I am in the middle of a deal with an individual who has a 100+ rating on their account and joined in 2003. The question I have is that a lot of the feedback on their account are from before 2003; all the way back to 1999. How can this be if they have only been a member since 2003? I sent my paypal payment yesterday and am waiting to hear back from them. Does this seem strange to anyone else, or am I just a paranoid newcomer?
Thanks,
Tony

The ITL has been around since bartertown's original format.
The Board itself has changed and this newer version had to have all new accounts created but the ITL was still there and did not change.
So, I have been around on this site now since 1998 or 1999 myself... but my account information doesn't reflect that.

Any rating above 100 is considered good IMO. ANd generally pretty trust-worthy. Though I might be somewhat biased, as I'm running close to it myself.

Thanks for the info. I did not know that the feedback carried over, so I was somewhat suspicious. I felt that I shouldn't say anything to the trader as to not offend them. Looks like everything should go smoothly then.

Holy cr@p. that is one heck of a rating. Do you have a life? Talk about trustworthy. One of the elite traders.
200+
Okay. That is ridiculous. See a shrink. You need to find something more to do. Still, though, I'd trust you completely. One of the super elite traders.
300+
All right! I've had about enough of this! Did you pad your references? Has anyone REALLY made this many trades? This is seriously crazy. Uber-elite trader.
Okay... the whole post above, while serious in NATURE was spoken with great humor.
If you have a 300+ rating (Bloodcircle, for example), I do NOT really believe your rating is padded. That was just some friendly ribbing.

Seriously, dude... you have a CIRCLE of references and you haven't even been trading 2 years yet!
That's, like, 90+ trades a year! That's aaround EIGHT a month!
Have you ever calculated your accumulated shipping charges before?

BC doesn't play 40k/WHFB as a hobby. He trades the minis as his hobby.

Actually, I've been here for almost 3 years, but almost 2 as "Bloodcircle"
As for shipping charges, I don't even want to think about it, lol

Nice rating system. Include an analysis of time-trade ratio's and trends, then it'll definitely say something valuable.
Though after looking over my entire reference list, I find it curious that some of the people I'd dealt with were banned for selling/trading illegal goods...
And some of the people who were banned for being otherwise incendiary returned and are back on the bad trader's list.

2007 is going to be a year.
