Anyone bought an Eldar Army Box on here recently?

This is just a precausion. I recently bought an Eldar army box deal from a user called "tradinghere" for 175 plus shipping. There have been 2 occasions before where I bought an item which was also sold to other traders. I have asked for a shipping confirmation number for the last week and I have yet to receive one. I am going to tell paypal to seize the funds if I don't get it tomorrow. Anyone also purchase this from the user tradinghere? This is not a bad trader report, or libel. I just want to cover my @ss. He seemed on the level and perhaps he just hasn't had time to respond but I can't take that chance. I will delete this as soon as I receive a number or the box gets here, which ever comes first.

I realise it might take a while to get here. my question is has anyone else bought the same item from the same trader. I expect it to get here closer towards xmas. I just want a confirmation number for some peace of mind.

Unless it was sent UPS/FeDex I don't think a confirmation number is an option (unless the insurance is tracked...?).

If this isn't a bad trader report or libel, then what is it?

You can't just say stuff like this and skirt around the rules. You either follow the rules, or you don't post. Putting it into a different forum doesn't change what it is.

If you're gonna call someone out, please post proof.

you NOW can get delivery confirmation from canada. they can send it with insurance OR there is a way to buy delivery confirmation in canada. i have meds for 1 of my animals that has delivery confirmation. i also just traded with a guy in canada. he asked for DC, and they told him no. he then went to another po and they told him yes and did it. some of the canadian postal workers aren't always up on all the new services.

Ah, no, you CANNOT get tracking to Canada from the USPS. I know you're usually very informed about USPS shipping kturock but here in Chicago (and I imagine the rest of the US, since this is a major city), none of the stations I frequent offer tracking to Canada. Perhaps it will be implemented in 2007?

Also, donkeycannon you should wait a little longer to recieve the item because of customs before posting anything. I;d say about 2 weeks is a good wait time. I once sent stuff UPS Express to Canada and it took over a week to deliver - I can't imagine USPS being much faster. As insidius said, if this isn't a BTR or libel, what is it?

For christs sake. My question is not when will I receive this item. I don't anticipate receiving it until closer to xmas. I just want a bleeping confirmation number as he promised. I'm not even mad at the guy. I am concerned because I havent heard from him with the number he said he would give me. Would you not be curious if someone you were doing business with replied within minutes everytime you talked to him and then as soon as you paid for an item dropped off the face of the earth. He is probably a decent guy, I just don't want myself or someone else getting fleeced.

umm you can get tracking. it's called the customs form. also if you insure it for over $50, you get the equalivant of delivery confimation.

actually the ONLY way to get tracking, like UPS and FEDEX provide is with; registered mail, express mail or global priority.
registered is slower and more expensive, than air mail and you can insure the item.
express mail is faster, more expensive than air mail, has a limted $ amount of included insurance, with higher values available.
global priority mail is almost as quick as express. it's more expensice than airmail. but it can not be insured.

i said FROM canada, NOT TO canada.

i use usps.com. EVERYTHING it prints out has a number. that number gives you the same thing as del. con. all d/c does is put a number on it so it can be scanned when delivered.
all customs labels have a number. all insurance [over $50] labels have a number.
ALL OF THESE NUMBERS CAN BE RESARCHED AT USPS.COM AND TRACKED/CONFIRMED.

DONKEYCANNON; there was a way to get a number on his item. if he didn't ask for it, [it costs extra], or the clerk didn't know how to do it, he didn't get 1.
the only way to get a true tracking number is to use: FED EX, UPS OR USPS EXPRESS MAIL or REGISTERED MAIL.
let me explain the diffeence between tracking and delivery confirmation.

tracking: gets scanned, EVERYWHERE it goes and EVERYTIME it gets handled.

del. con: gets scanned at acceptance, and delivery. also, SOMETIMES, it gets scanned along the route, but not always.

if you insure an item with usps for over $50 you do not need to buy del. con. again. you already have that with the insurance. it already gives it a number that gets scanned at delivery.

it's like buying car insurance when you rent a car. your regular car insurance already covers you.

Did you have paypal seize the funds today?
