I had a post in the GW Futuristic area, and one in the Bits & Parts area.


They both vanished today. It's been less than a month since they were up, do they expire? Did I break a rule?

Posts do expire. Depending on the forum its in, this could be a week or a month.

I can say with certainty that they were not removed and you did nothing wrong.

I would go ahead and post new ones.

It has to be close to a month, I'm betting LESS. I made a trade with someone on May 16th and that was only a few days after posting if I remember correctly.

Is there a chance you have access to them? Or are they gone forever? I didn't make a master copy of the posts and I don't know which imgur acct the pictures are on, and I'd hate to have to retype everything from scratch. I put a lot of work into the layout and paragraphs of text ;(

If you have access to them (the last two threads I've created, god knows the only two I've created in forever), can can copy/paste them in a PM to me that would be great. At least the GW Futuristic one, I don't care about the Bits one.

Unfortunately once the forum is pruned, I don't have access to anything unless we roll back the server and we only do that in very specific occasions.

I'm seeing my posts in Misc Fantasy disappear every couple of days. Definitely doesn't even make it to a week. Is this a setting issue?

Might be a very very old setting from back when Misc Fantasy was very popular. We could probably re-evaluate the lengths with the reduced traffic.

Misc Fantasy is still deleting my posts after a couple of days.

Sorry, I got distracted and forgot to change it.

I have increased the life of the forum and modified the pruning rules. This should extend the life of your posts similar to the hobby forums. Let me know how that feels.
