Just over a week ago, I put up a topic about selling an army under historical index.
A few day slater it was locked. I never got an explanation.
I have written two emails asking for an explanation, but as of now, several days later, I have yet to receive a response.
I have been a member since about 2010 and have never had this happen to me.
As far as I know, there is nothing objectionable in the post.
Pleae tell me what happened.

You responded to your post. Just supposed to edit main topic or pm

"You may update your ORIGINAL POST (OP), and you may then immediately leave a reply in the thread stating PRECISELY WHAT was updated. If you fail to update the OP, or fail to state what you updated in the reply; then your thread will be locked for Bumping and you will be given a warning."

OK
It was never my intent to "bump" I was just responding to someone's entry.
It would have been nice to have received an explanation at the time, I would have fixed it immediately,
I guess the lesson learned is that you have to use messages to respond to a post.

So if I want to add a price do I need to relist it?
(I cannot edit it now)

Yes. You can post once every 7 days in each sub-forum.

As mentioned earlier, there are 15 rules of Btown and no bumping is one of them.

Our staff is purely volunteer based and most of them don't want to deal with rude sass for doing their jobs, so usually PMing about locking a bumped post is rare - as it is super common, even though it's against the rules. Most people are used to other forums or Facebook groups (although most groups I know have rules based around bumping as well) and so it's understandable they may forget about Btown's rule against it. I'm not sure who locked your post, but I doubt they did so maliciously.

You've actually been a member since late 2003 - so if this is not the case, I'd like to know why that is.

Bartertown rules can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=45470

I would suggest reading them to refresh your memory and if you have any concerns or questions, please PM me.

I edited your new post and removed the comment about violating the "bump" rule - that wasn't really necessary.

Thanks,

R
