Chaos Star, a curiosity

I have recently come across an old miniature. It's a chaos star. I know it came in the 5th edition army deal, but how was it used? Is it just a table decoration? Does anyone have pics of it in action?

I have one too. I think they were packaged with a boxed army. The oly use I ever saw for them was when GW used them to decorate the walls of a Chaos castle for Siege.

The space marine army they put out around the same time had the legion of the damned guy whose name escapes me right now...

It was Sgt Centurious...cool looking fig that at one point sold for around $100! It made the army worht the price for him alone.

I have one of those Chaos Stars... they can still be bought as bits.

They are SERIOUSLY COOL.
