I answered your question in the other thread, but it was about file size. When my pics are too big, I don't get a "file size" error. I just get an error.

Can you give any more information about the file?
File name?
Did you type the ".jpg" extension behind it when you saved it, or did you let whatever you were using add the extension?
I noticed that the "too large" gave the extension, but the other didn't even give the filename.

Try this:
Make a copy of that file. Use a photo editor (even the old MS Paint app will work). Reduce the copied file to 75% of it's current size. Try to post it again.
Let me know what happens?

huh. weird. I resized it in paint to 75%, and it made the file bigger, but it attached it. 796 KB (815,484 bytes)

going to try and just open, close and save with paint. original file size.

and it's 0.98 MB (1,036,977 bytes)
must be the way it's being saved with windows..10? 11? wtf it is.

Weird that Paint made it larger. I've never had that happen.
I wonder if it's something Paint did to it? I typically use Photoscape (free, robust editing tool) to edit my pics. Reducing size has NEVER done that to me.

even more weird to me is, I open in Paint then save as a different name, it's ok to upload.

both before and after have the exact same detail, except for the file size.

If I open it with paint and then save it, it doesn't attach.
If I open it with paint and then save as, with a different name, it does attach.
If I open it with paint, and then save as, but don't change the name, it doesn't attach.

Are you using really long names?

The name is actually longer in paint because I add a space and then the number 1. IE Black Goat vs Black Goat 1
