Bits and Single models question
I clearly see where it says "No Bits Only" posts but I want to clarify on three things.
1. Does this mean I cannot request bits in trade but still offer models?
2. Does this rule affect single models from a box that have all pieces but are not with their full box. Example I needed three more marines for different weapon loadouts but have seven left can I trade each one, or the rest as a lot?
3. Can I request single models from a box, vehicle, etc?
The reason I ask is I kitbash a LOT and either need a few pieces of have a few models left over.

Re: Bits and Single models question
THANK YOU FOR ASKING BEFORE MAKING ASSUMPTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1) You CAN request bits or offer them in an ad that also requests or offers FULL MODELS of the kind that are appropriate for the forum (You can offer CSM and ask for Tau bits in the GW Futuristic forum, but can't ask for Tau Bits while offering only complete Infinity models in the GW Futuristic forum).
2) Full models don't count as bits. So, if you have a full model from a larger boxed set, that's fine... same if you're looking for one. The models must be complete (we're lenient on bases, though), but the boxed sets don't have to be.
3) Yes. Totally. Absolutely. Those would not go in the Bits forum, but in the forum that the models belong to.
I hope that's all clear. Please, feel free to ask if you're looking for ANY clarification.
Eric

Re: Bits and Single models question
So if some of the Minis I need are not GW (Say a certain style of fantasy elf from another manufacturer, I can't remember the one but they have very leafish hair) and I needed GW fantasy as well I would post in both GW Fantasy AND non GW Fantasy?

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

Oh one last question, is there any policy on asking for bits donations?

Re: Bits and Single models question
3e is correct... but make sure you read the first post and take note of Rule #3.
You can post your own ad just asking for free stuff, if you dont have anything to offer, but you're unlikely to get a lot of responses. The community tends to react better to those who are also willing to share what they have then those who just want stuff given to them.

Re: Bits and Single models question
Probably not the best post to necro to ask, but I'll allow it.
28mm is the bases of the new Kroot. Friend of mine picked up the box and I asked them.
He will confirm when he gets home from work tonight, but is 99% sure they are 28mm.
