Search function- nearly useless.

The SEARCH function is nearly useless. I put in a topic, it gives a few pages of results. I can look at the first page, but when i try to check the others it comes up with a message that I have to wait before I search again. So i cant see any of the other results.

I agree. It is one of the unfortunate limitations we experience with the phpbb software.

Right click on the first result, open in new window or open in new tab. Look at it. Go back to original tab, rinse, repeat.
