So this doesnt really belong in the bad trader forum because well, I just havent heard from the guy in mid trade. I am looking for some advice on how to proceed here.

The specifics:
we agreed that I would send payment, he would send models, and then I would send some amazon card codes to finish the deal. I paid and he sent but there were some missing pieces which we were talking about seeing if he had them laying around or if I needed to buy replacements and take it out of the amazon cards value but he fell off the face of the earth about 3 weeks ago. I'm kind of wondering how long I am beholden to try to work something out with him vs. just buying the missing stuff and sending him the remainder of the amazon card value and calling it a day. I know that after 30 days it becomes more difficult to report something but I dont feel like I need to since the amazon cards are worth a bit more than the stuff I am missing.

So anyway, opinions?

I'd call it a done deal as long as your satisfied

If he does not complete his side of the trade, he does not deserve a positive ref at the end of the deal. Let me start with that.
Second, you could try PMing his name to a staff member to make sure his account is still active. We do, on occasion, suspend or ban people. If he was recently booted (permanently or temporarily), he wouldn't necessarily be able to get in touch with you.

Before PMing a staffer... are your PMs being read? Is he logging in (you can check his profile for the last log in date and time)?

I'd advise a "last chance or I am calling this trade complete and leaving an appropriate reference" type PM if he's active, reading your messages, etc.
Actually, as long as he's not suspended or banned, I'd still recommend that... followed up by a "deadbeat" thread on him.
