I have been on btown awhile. I just worked out a lengthy transaction. The guy contacted me saying he had some models I was looking for. He had no pictures of the models so I asked for them. He sent me some pictures from about 2-3 feet away and in a pile. Then some close ups of some of the painted ones. I asked that he get closer up pictures of the guys in a pile. He took them I had a few questions about his "conversions" and since the close ups were of only a couple of the 50 in a pile I asked exactly how many were missing parts. He told me his price but said the painted ones are not available by themselves but might be if he doesn't sell all his painted models together. I told him I would wait then and see rather then have him ship me two packages and pay him twice. He contacted me again a few days later saying he was tired of trying to sell them and needed the money. I asked the total price for the models plus shipping. $66 I told him I would do that but because he has only 7 transactions I will pay first as a normal paypal payment or if he wants to ship first I will pay as a payment owed.
At this point he got very defensive and insisted I pay him the full amount first and as a payment owed. Then was very angry with how many questions I had asked and that I wanted to know exactly what I was buying. Saying this isn't worth the cost of selling models to have to answer these questions and post pictures.
I have never experienced this in the years I have traded and have always dealt this way especially with the person not having pictures and very vague descriptions of what he was selling.
Not sure how to handle this. I don't think it is specifically a back out though price was determined but when the payment options were made he got very angry towards me.
