So on another trade site I listed some items. Lots of orks and foam for them. I said nothing about a case/bag for the foam with models. A member PMed me about the lot as what it had in it. I responded with a list of orks and a GW double case and foam for it (nothing in my add mentioned a case). He tossed back a price and I got the shipping cost for models and foam. He paypaled me for the lot and I shipped it. Last night/today, Im looking through the PM hostory and see I mentioned the case. I Pmed him about the mix up. Hes now asking for the case to be shipped or a refund in part for no case.

Thoughts on the matter???

well as I look at what you wrote here you mentioned a GW double Case, best suggestion is work some deal with him since hes right, he sent money based on what was promised, and the case was promised, put yourself in his shoes and ask how would you feel ?

Yep. I would refund part for the case if you indicated it was going to be there.

Yeah. I'd definitely try to work something out and take the hit. Although your ad didn't mention the case specifically, you admit that you did via PM. It's reasonable to see that he might have been willing to accept the price you wanted because he discovered that the case WAS included, though you seemed to have forgotten to mention it in your ad.
The big question, though, is how much is he saying is reasonable for the case not being present?

I'm agreeing with everyone else here however I do want to ask did you only mention the case once and then send a further PM (before your realized your mistake) to finalize the deal? Something like

You:
I have all this to sell, including case

Buyer:
Great I'll take it all, how much

You:
It'll be $XX for the models and the foam

Buyer:
Great here's my money


In this case you might have something to stand on, however I would still be willing to cut them a deal (either a very good price on the case or some money off the deal) as you are both at fault (you mentioned the case at the start and they didn't catch the corrected trade)

Anything else I'd say you are on the hook. If you mentioned the case and they sent you money (or even said that you had a deal) you need to make good somehow on your end

Contracts people, contracts!

That way you both can go over everything one finalized time and agree to it.

I would have to see the communication between the two to really judge but I would agree with Eric.
