Is it not possible to "force" people to input their home location. I'm rather tired of continually having to ask people where they are from.

I'm not asking a lot here I don't think. I don't need specific details like city and address, but it would be nice to force people to at least put down what Country they are from.

If you look under my avatar (which is a Canadian Maple Leaf) it lists my location as Ontario Canada. Even if it just said Canada that would be helpful to most users I think.

It's not something we've ever supported officially in the past as a requirement, and I don't foresee that changing any time soon.
There's a certain level of public anonymity we like to retain here. "Top Level" management has always resisted that as anything more than a suggestion.

Then what about putting a mandatory location in a thread title? If you want to ship something, I'm going to know where it is coming from

I always thought that was just a beer cap from the Case of Molson Canadian you were working on.

Always had my location show to give traders an idea of postage!

That is the same as requiring a location.
I don't foresee that going anywhere.
