Preview required on Compose?

Anyone else running into an issue where a newly composed personal message (not a reply) pops up a preview even when you don't click the preview button?

Not as of last night.
Haven't started any new threads since then.
When did you first encounter it?

It's only for new PMs. Try to send me a PM without using Preview.
And I first noticed it this morning, although I don't usually compose PMs so this is the first time in weeks that I have done so.
