Need help/advice with a trade

Hello everyone. I am sorry if I should not post this here but am unsure of where to post. I am having some trouble with another member on the board. On august 3rd of this year, a trader and I agreed on 15 dollars for a Lysander model and I sent him the paypal either on that day or a little after. Then on the 6th I received a message saying that the trader had to leave on an emergency business trip until the 20th and would send it then. I did not respond to that message thinking that that was fine. I sent two messages back once on the 23rd and once on the 26th asking if he was able to send the model yet. It is now september 9th and I have not heard anything. He was on the boards on august 25th so he should have seen my first message, but again nothing. I already sent him the money about a month ago now. What can I do in this circumstance? I did not put his name down because if this can still be resolved without besmirching his name, so much the better. I am nervous now and would like some help or would like to know if I can do anything. Thank you very much.

Did he read your last messages?

I would file a paypal claim since you have not received the model. then send him one last message saying hey if I dont hear from you by x date or have the model by that date I'll have to file a BTR. But open up the paypal dispute now and you can always close it if you receive the model.

Ah thank you. I am sure he saw the first message I sent since it is not in my outbox anymore. The second one he may not have since it was after his last log on date. I did open a paypal claim like you suggested so thank you. This has not happened to me before so I am unsure of the protocol. I have had many good experiences on bartertown so did not want to do anything wrong. Thank you again.
