promotion to admin

Just wondering how does one do get promoted to admin? I have reported 1 cell phone posting, several spamming posts and some swears. I know Im still new hear and that those cases alone dont warent a promotion. Its not something I would want now (baby due in October) but I like it here so Id like to know. I was thinking about Bartertown Watch.

It is not automatic not by a long shot.

Generally, we look for folks with a decent trade history, as well as folks who take the time to provide helpful responses to questions and concerns both in the Information section, and in the BTR area.

Also, time on site is important too.. not just "been a member for a year" but.. visit the site often as well.

Then, there needs to be either a pending or upcoming vacancy or a perceived need to add a staffer.

After all that, the current and outgoing staff members talk in our clubhouse on who we like and make a short list. After that, it comes down to who wants the glitz and glamour of an unpaid, totally volunteer position, where you get treated sometimes like used gum.

Plus.. you have to deal with Eric almost daily.. which is a big stumbling block, really...

right now, we have 6 Admin level staffers, each with an area of specialty. MagickalMemories, Plarz, and myself are the 3 most recent Admins, and we were mainly added to provide site support (Plarz) and to have 2 Admins on site almost daily (me and MM).
