OK my son told me to get on here. He has a ton of LOTR figures, Older Game Sets and other stuff. All of a sudden he's into Flames of War. We aren't spending any more of his lawn mowing $$$ on these things. (Spent a boatload on LOTR) now he wants to trade out for FOW. So, I don't have time to browse and figure this board out. Please send me the appropriate "Newbie" links where a 57 year old man that enjoyed playing with GI Joe big plastic "dolls" in the 60's needs to be so I can guide him. Thanks! :-?

Hello and welcome to BT.

It sounds like things I've heard in the past too: "I gotta have the newest (fill in blank) and don't want (fill in blank) anymore!" I have the kung-fu grip on where you should be  :

Well, it depends upon what you are trying to do with the stuff you have now. If you are looking to trade it away for something he wants or sell it off completely, you'll need to post in the appropriate sub forum. From the sound of it, with multiple genres or game types, you'll be able to post those items in multiple subforums here on BT. That's going to give you the best visibility and the most interest.

So that brings us to the next question: Outside of LoTR and FoW, what compromises the "other game sets and stuff?"

Okie dokie. There are a couple of areas that his stuff can be listed. You can list his LOTR haves and the Flames of War wants in both of the following sections as your posts will include at least one of the model types in each section.

#1 is the Misc. Fantasy Lord of the Rings sub forum. Either scroll down the main page a bit or go here: viewforum.php?f=81

#2 is the Historicals For Sale/Wanted forum. Also scroll down the main page a bit or go here: viewforum.php?f=18

It is also very important to read the rules, as threads can get locked for not following them. Rules here: viewtopic.php?f=44&t=45470

Hope this helps out a bit.

Greg.
