You should contact MagickalMemories as he deals with all the BTR's and stuff like that. Thank you!

(Not a mod, but...) If he's not following through, you could issue a Bad Trader Report. See the specific forum for that, but also note that you need to follow the format for a report as lined out in the rules.

You could also call the local police for his area, as if you used the US Postal system, that becomes a (significant?) mail fraud case. Also contact your postal inspector. Make sure you have all of your PMs and I would print them out for the police or post office if needed. Also be sure to keep your receipt and tracking information.

You did the right thing by going to him first.
If he's saying he didn't receive it, he needs to speak with his mail carrier and also check in unlikely places (behind hedges, @ his back door, etc) and speak with the other people in his home to see if any of them received the box but forgot to tell him. I've seen ALL of those be the cause for confusion in the past.

If he still does not have it, he needs to speak with his mail carrier to find out where it was left. he should start by visiting his local USPS and speaking with someone there. All he's got to do is tell them what went wrong (provide the DC#) and ask them to look into it.

You've done your part. The DC# shows the item as received, so the ball is in his court now. He needs to research it and take responsibility. If, in a worse case scenario, it was stolen from his porch, our official p.o.v. is that he still needs to pay you, as you did what you agreed to do.

Keep in mind that the above information is presuming that you've done the right thing, sent it as promised, etc. My answer could change if there is important information that didn't come out.

Oh, and you should stop using phrases like "d*cking me around." They're hostile and not likely to inspire him to cooperate and, when used in the public forums, they're borderline offensive. We've got little kids that visit this site.

Thanks.

Eric

And, as I was Ninja'd TWICE...
Don't contact me. You COULD contact any staff person, but we'd all tell you our own version of what I told you above. So, I'd have nothing new to tell you.

...and it's too early for a BTR, until we get just a bit more information.

Assuming everything is as he said, do you think 9 days after receipt with no payment is too early for a BTR? I know other things factor into it, and a lot would depend on what the guy is telling the OP that the OP is reading as "messing around". But if the guy were telling OP that he would send payment later today, or tomorrow, and keeps repeating that. Would it be a premature BTR?

Thus, the "just a bit more information" stipulation.
: )

I'm not comfortable giving any specific advice on what to do next without more information.

How 'bout this:
@big_trader:
Do you still have your receipt and copy of the Delivery Confirmation slip?
Have you confirmed that the city & zip code on the receipt are the same as what's on the address he gave you?
Have you spoken with anyone at your USPS about it?
If so; what did you ask and what did they say in response?
When is the last time you PMed him?
When is the last time he PMed you?
Has he indicated whether he's spoken with his local USPS or not?
What is his trade rating (NO NAMES, please)?

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!!!!!!!
Hold the brakes...
Now i checked the tracking and it says its delivered on the 16 and yet he still hasnt paid me!! he is dicking me around and asking me to double check the address mail to, which i did, and its identical to what he gave me!!!
This statement is changed DRASTICALLY, now that I've realized you're in Canada.
Where I asked you if you spoke with your USPS office... LOL... you won't have one. : ) Have you spoken with your CANADIAN post office?
Where's your trade partner located (country)?
What kind of tracking did you use? Does it specifically say it was DELIVERED, or...?

Sorry, I ment if he still claimed that he did not get the packege after the CON number says it came, and he still won't pay, then to contact you. (With PM's and ALL the info) I didn't just mean just to do it, sorry I wasn't very clear in the first post. Thanks!

No need to apologize, Chris. Under normal circumstances, that would be good advice. Since I had actually already given him an answer, though, it was kind of pointless. LOL

For $500 you better have insured it.
That way if it was stolen, say from his porch, neither one of you are out $500.

Also then, he makes an insurance claim AFTER he pays you. Then the postal inspectors are really motivated to recover the item.

then again, if you followed my advice about sending it cod, he couldn't claim non-receipt since he'd have to pay cash to receive the package.
